The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has expanded a recall of vegetables and bagged salads due to possible Listeria contamination. The recall now includes 18 states, with the addition of green beans to the list of affected products.
Listeria is a type of bacteria that can cause serious infections, including meningitis and bloodstream infections. Symptoms can include fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. In severe cases, Listeria infection can be fatal.
The recalled products were sold at Walmart and Aldi stores in the following states:

The recalled products include:
- Cucumbers
- Peppers
- Green beans
- Squash
- Herbs
- Bagged salads
If you have purchased any of these products, you should return them to the store where you bought them for a full refund. You should also clean and disinfect any surfaces that came into contact with the products.
