Tournament Details
The basketball competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, were held from July 24 to August 8, 2021. The games were played at the Saitama Super Arena.
Participating Teams
A total of 12 men's teams and 12 women's teams competed in the tournament. The teams were placed into four groups of three teams each, and the top two teams from each group advanced to the knockout stage.
Medal Winners
The United States won the gold medal in both the men's and women's tournaments. France took the silver medal in the men's tournament, while Japan won the bronze. In the women's tournament, Japan won the silver medal and Serbia won the bronze.
