By: Your Name

IOWA CITY, IA - The Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball team is gearing up for the 2024 season, looking to extend their run of NCAA Tournament appearances to five straight years.

The Hawkeyes finished the 2022-23 season with a 24-8 record, sharing the Big Ten regular season title with Ohio State. They advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to eventual national champion South Carolina.

Iowa returns a strong core of players from last year's team, including All-Big Ten honorees Caitlin Clark and Monika Czinano. Clark, a junior guard, led the nation in scoring last season, averaging 27.0 points per game. Czinano, a senior center, averaged 18.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.

The Hawkeyes also welcome a talented incoming recruiting class, headlined by five-star prospect Amaya Bradshaw. Bradshaw is a 6-foot-4 forward who is considered one of the top recruits in the country.

Iowa will open the 2024 season on November 7th against Northern Iowa at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Hawkeyes' non-conference schedule also includes games against Creighton, Iowa State, and Mississippi State.
